This recipe was entered in the contest for Your Best Fruit Smoothie.

My kids and I invented this version of the classic smoothie when they were toddlers. In part, it was a way to get my older daughter to eat bananas, a fruit she didn't like. Now, as teenagers, they make it themselves. Years ago, we used vanilla yogurt. Today, we use plain, Greek yogurt since we all like the tarter flavor.

Serves Three-four

  • 1 Banana
  • 2 cups Organic, orange juice
  • 1 cup 2% Greek yogurt (Fage)
  • 1 cup Frozen, organic raspberries

1. Break up banana and drop into blender 2. Add remaining ingredients 3. Blend For thicker smoothie, add more yogurt. For thinner, add more orange juice.
