This recipe was entered in the contest for Your Best Fruit Smoothie.


This recipe I developed out of time constraints and wanting to have a nutritious breakfast on the run. Since oatmeal is so filling I wanted to incorporate it into a fruit smoothie and my family really enjoys it!

Serves 2

  • 12 oz Milk or almond milk
  • 3/4 cups Steel cut oatmeal
  • 1 large Banana
  • 1/4 cup Raisins
  • Dash Cinnamon
  • 3-4 Ice cubes
  • Optional 1/2 cups Frozen fruit instead of ice cubes

Place all of the ingredients in a blender for about one minute. Enjoy!
